Honeywell Security North Asia Celebrated Penetration into the Prison Segment – Hitting a clear win in Seoul Correctional Institution Project with HON Intelligent Analytics Solution in July, the North Asia team now exhibits stronger confidence in future growth in the prison segment. Installed with HON DVR, capture board and Active Alert by August 2008, this institution under the Ministry of Justice, Republic of Korea, is to enjoy more efficiency in daily operation.

Honeywell Security South Asia Won Home Gateway Project in Bangalore’s Silicon Valley – by February 2009, 237 units of HS 7000 will be installed at I-Life Site in Bangalore, India, a community located on the IT Corridor of Marthahalli – Sarjapur Ring Road with close proximity to the campuses of Intel, Wipro, HP and Hughes.

Honeywell Scanning & Mobility(HSM) Won Samsung-Tesco Homeplus Project in Korea – Samsung-Tesco Homeplus of Korea has recently installed 351 units of Honeywell MS2422 bar code scanner for its retail check-out lanes. MS2422 is the premium five-sided Bi-Optics scanner which enhances productivity in demanding high-throughput checkout environments by enabling operators to process an item in a single pass regardless of bar code orientation. With Homeplus recent acquisition of Homever, the 4^th largest supermarket chain formerly ran by Carrefour Korea, the win will open up a potential opportunity of another 500 units MS2422  for HON.

Honeywell Security China Records Its First Win of Fibre Secure Fence™ System – Honeywell Security China recently won Sichuan Puguang Gas Field owned by Sino-petrol to install HON Fibre Secure Fence™ which is the first sale since this system was launched in China. HON Fibre Secure Fence™ system is to be deployed for the 11km perimeter protection around the Gas Field. The whole project is expected to complete by the end of 2008.

Honeywell Security South Asia Launched Hello Serial Video Door Phone and Residential Venus System – The month of August saw the inaugural of a series of fruitful residential vertical events in Delhi, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Pune and Chennai, on which Honeywell Security South Asia also launched Hello serial Video Door Phone and Residential Venus System. The events attracted a large audience which resulted in jam packed sessions. In addition the new products received overwhelming response and generated lots of enquiries onsite.

Honeywell Scanning & Mobility (HSM) Garners Attention at 2008 Japan Auto-ID Expo – This is the first time the former Hand Held Products was represented as Honeywell Scanning & Mobility in Auto-the ID show following the acquisition. The Japan Auto-ID Expo is the largest of its kind in Asia. Around 1500 people visited HSM’s booth, showing great interest to hear HON’s entry into the industry. Over 50 sales leads were generated in addition, convincing the whole HSM Japan team that the event could be a great help to increase business in Japan in 2009.

Honeywell Security East Asia Demonstrated Innovation on A&S Taiwan Security Road Show 2008 – Highlighting ActiveAlert and showcasing other innovative products and solutions including HUS, HD DVR, Hello Phone, NetAXS and cameras, HON reinforced its market leadership at the A&S Taiwan Security Road Show 2008 in Taichung and Kaohsiung. Touring around major cities including Taichung, Kaohsiung and Taipei on August 27 - September 2, the show is the most important annual security event in Taiwan, where all major system integrators, distributors, dealers, installers and key users are able to interact with suppliers.

Honeywell Security East Asia Held Technical Seminar for Hong Kong Institute of Engineer (HKIE) – On September 12, 40 HKIE members from major Hong Kong property developers, transportation and electricity providers including Hong Kong Land, Mass Transit Railway Corporation and Hong Kong Electric Co. were invited to this rewarding seminar on application of integrated security solutions. The participants highly praised the interaction for enriching their understanding of security integration mega trend and HON’s strong competency in vertical applications.

Honeywell Security South East Asia Exhibited at 24^th TEMCA Exhibition & Seminar 2008 in Thailand – TEMCA (Thai Electrical & Mechanical Contractors Association) was founded in 1977 with the objective of improving the standards of electrical, mechanical, air conditioning, plumbing, fire protection and communication businesses in Thailand. HON demonstrated various highly integrated vertical solutions for City Surveillance, Financial and Banking Security, Industrial Security and Surveillance, Residential Security and Smart Home Solution during the event.

Honeywell Security South Asia Featured IT/ITES Enterprise Wide Security Solution at Call Center Demo and Conference India (CCDCI) – September 19 and 20 saw the participation of Honeywell Security as a Silver Sponsor at CCDCI, a leading event in call center consulting, training, publications and membership services in Mumbai, India. Honeywell Security Australia Hosted 2008 Integrated Product Launch – On 26 and 27 August, 2008, Security Australia hosted a cruise around Sydney Harbour to coincide with the Asial tradeshow to demonstrate our integrated product suite. Over 40 invited partners and customers had the opportunity to view products demonstration such as Pro-Watch, Fusion DVR, Enterprise NVR, and the release of the new Honeywell Video Management System (HVMS) & Honeywell Number Plate Recognition (HNPR).

Honeywell Security Australia Showcased on the 21^st Security in Government (SIG) Conference 2008 – This annual event held at National Convention Centre, Canberra on 16-18 September this year was designed for security practitioners working for Australian government agencies. Honeywell Security Distribution Australia Officially Renamed as ADI Global Distribution Australia – ADI, a leading global wholesale distributor of security and low voltage products, announced the launch of ADI Global Distribution Australia (trading previously as Honeywell Security Distribution Australia), bringing a new customer-driven, manufacturer-independent business model to Australia. ADI Global Distribution Australia currently carries products from around 100 different vendors, with 15 active major vendors, with plans to double that to 200, with 30 active major vendors, by the end of 2009. more
